About LET’S STREAM

LET’S STREAM is a project supported and financed by the US Embassy, designed to improve the quality of education in Serbia by integrating STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) into the curriculum for young learners aged 6-11. This project is aimed at pre-service and in-service primary and kindergarten teachers, as well as subject teachers interested in STREAM education. University educators serve as instructors, providing innovative tools and strategies to foster critical thinking, creativity, and digital competence among participants.

Objectives:

Develop and implement a STREAM educational program tailored to teachers in Serbia.

Create a collaborative environment for educators to share and explore best practices in STREAM teaching.

Equip teachers with the skills to develop functional knowledge and engage students in problem-solving through STREAM subjects.

Program Phases:

Online Course: Participants will engage in a three-month online course covering the foundations of STREAM education. The course includes both asynchronous and synchronous sessions, quizzes, and reflective tasks. By the end of the course, participants will design a STREAM-based lesson plan that they will later implement in their classrooms.

Summer School: After completing the online course, participants will join a three-day summer school filled with workshops, presentations, and mentoring sessions. This phase will offer opportunities for hands-on practice, collaboration with STREAM experts, and peer reflection. On the final day, participants will present their STREAM lesson plans and discuss their implementation experiences with a wider audience.

Expected Impact:

Through LET’S STREAM, teachers will enhance their pedagogical and English language skills, while university educators will develop stronger collaboration and STREAM teaching methodologies. Ultimately, the project aims to create a ripple effect, bringing STREAM education to classrooms across Serbia and inspiring young learners to become future innovators.
